norcrest mission statement

Norcrest Little League will strive to promote youth baseball opportunities in all its member communities across Southern Alberta.  As well, Nocrest will endeavor to provide an inclusive environment, with an emphasis on fun and growing the sport of baseball.

About Us

Norcrest Little League has a long history in Southern Alberta. So many kids have had the chance to play on teams within the league during the spring season as well as for the tournament season in the summer. While the boundaries have changed over the years, the spirit of the teams has continued!  Players, coaches, parents, umpires and volunteers have all joined in to field some excellent teams and provide the communities within Norcrest with many innings of baseball and softball.

Norcrest is made up of 8 different communities around the south.  Bow Island, Coaldale, Enchant, Foremost, Milk River, Picture Butte, Taber and Vauxhall.

During the spring house league regular season, teams from the different communities are able to compete against each other, culminating with a division championship at the end of the season, usually the middle of June.  As we head into summer, players are able to try out for a tournament summer team; this is a short and competitive season that allows those players who love to play and travel around Alberta the opportunity to play for provincial championships, national championships and, if successful, could even head to the Little League World Series.

We are part of District 1 in Little League Alberta. District 1 also includes Lethbridge Little League Baseball Association, Southchief Little League and Chinook West Little League.

The focus has primarily been on Little League Baseball for the seasons in the past.  Hopefully, Norcrest Little League can work with the communities more to develop the Softball program and see the girl's teams have fun and show their skills in tournaments.  There are many opportunities to grow the baseball and softball program within Norcrest in our towns and rural areas, and we hope we can count on the support of the players, parents, coaches, umpires, volunteers and the fans in the stands to continue to help us grow and support the kids who love the game.

Looking forward to the 2025 season!! Hope to see you out on the field or cheering in the stands!
